Gay bar in the mountains has an alien garden vegetation show for Halloween outdoors

Last night, I paid a quick visit to a Halloween party at the Lodge, located on US 40, East of Boonsboro MD, about 2 miles E of the Intersection with Rt 66 coming down from I-70 and the big Sheetz store (one of the largest anywhere).  It’s maybe 10 miles from downtown Hagerstown.

The outdoor patio had a light-on-vegetation show that duplicated the colors you would see in foliage on alien planets that are tidally locked. Some scientists think that photosynthesis does happen on other planets, but most plants would have colors of lower wavelength than green on Earth.

I also stopped at Harper’s Ferry, too late in the day for the bus, able to get some lingering fall colors
